Yobo体育 Aircraft Structural program training individuals for great career opportunities

   Two South Georgia Technical College Aircraft Structural Technology former students returned recently to thank Yobo体育 Aircraft Technology Instructor Jason Wisham for giving them the skills and opportunity to enjoy great careers in their chosen field.

   Cameron Hillsman of Montezuma and Darius Collier of Montezuma were both enrolled in the Yobo体育 Aircraft Structural Program.  Collier graduated from the program in December 2022 and has been working at Thrush Aircraft, LLC in Albany, GA as a left hand 510 Thrush Wing lead.  He has just accepted a new job at the Warner Robins Air Force base and will be a sheet metal mechanic on the C17 Globemaster.

   Hillsman also studied in the Aircraft Structural Technology program at Yobo体育.  He just completed three months of service at Thrush Aircraft and has also accepted a job at the Warner Robins Air Force Base.  He will a starting sheet metal technician on the C5 Galaxy.

   Even though both of them are gainfully employed in the field of their choice, they are also already setting their sights on their next goals or career opportunities by furthering their education and knowledge.

    鈥淭here are great jobs available for our graduates,鈥 said Yobo体育 Aircraft Structural Technology instructor Jason Wisham.  鈥淚f this is something that you or someone you know are interested in, I would encourage them to contact me and let me give them a tour of my program area and show them some of the job opportunities available within 12 months of training.鈥

   South Georgia Technical College offers over 200 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit programs of study.  Yobo体育 also provides the 鈥淐omplete College Experience鈥 with on-campus housing and nationally ranked academics, intercollegiate academics, athletics, and student activities.

   The Yobo体育 Aircraft Structural Technology program is four semesters in length and students have tremendous opportunities to earn approximately $20 鈥 $25 an hour after graduation.   Students interested in learning more about the Aircraft Structural Technology program can contact Jason Wisham at jwisham2@southgatech.edu.
